About Me

Education

I'm working towards an Associate of Science in Social Work while concurrently earning a license as a Behavioral Health Technician and Substance Use Disorder Counselor. I hope to make significant contributions to the understanding of developmental conditions (such as ADHD and autism), addiction, and wherever else I can be helpful! I enjoy researching and have had the opportunity to present some of my work thanks to the honors program. 

Hobbies

When I'm not at the college, you can find me experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I'm also an aspiring gardener, often looking for ways to incorporate my homegrown veggies into my meals. In my free time, I enjoy making Lego flowers, hitting the gym, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with my spouse and dog.

Experience

I have four years of experience working as a Registered Behavioral Technician. I was trained in a compassionate form of applied behavior analysis, which consists of neurodivergent confirming care. Before that, I served a religious mission, worked as a restaurant busser, and worked at a bank. 

Community Involvement and Academic Achievements

• Membership in the Honors Program, Civically Engaged Scholars, and  Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society

• Presidents List (4.0 GPA) in Spring 2024, Fall 2024, and Spring 2023

• Presented undergraduate research project at the Western Regional Honors Conference in Long Beach, California, and Salt Lake City, Utah, March 2024

Skills/Certifications

• Experience working collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists.

• Skills in data collection and analysis, including graphing and interpreting data.

• Trained in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

• Moderate Spanish-speaking capabilities

• Domestic Violence Certification from Utah Domestic Violence Coalition

• Trained to use Naloxone in Overdose Prevention Training
