Johnny "Bull" Riveiro
Johnny “Bull” Riveiro’s rhythm was born in 1964, when The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show turned a 13-year-old dreamer into a drummer. His thunderous kit annoyed neighbors, landing him in court at 14 for disturbing the peace—a badge of his passion. In the 1980s, John toured Europe with Helen Schneider with the Kick, recording three albums for Warner/Elektra/Atlantic. For many years, he played alongside bassist Robbie Venturini, his longtime friend. A casual machine shop chat with friend and coworker Jim Reynolds Sr. led John to The Stude in Scranton, where he found a creative home. He persuaded friend Mark Gazo to record his album, The Show, there, handling drums and arrangements. Later, John produced his solo album Bulltracks, featuring “Rising Sun” accompanied with a striking video by Markie Dennebaum of TwentyFiveEight Studios. As a multi-instrumentalist, John also plays guitar, sings backing vocals, and offers meticulous production insights. He currently records pristine drum tracks in his newly constructed rural garage studio for various projects. Living in the countryside, John’s Ludwig drums and motorcycle road trips fuel his precision and creativity.
