Last Updated: January 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Camera for Android - HD Camera ("the App"), developed by Bright Solved, handles information when you use our professional HD camera app offering 4K video recording, quick snap, beauty filters, effects, and HD selfies.
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App. Any data recovery operations are performed locally on your device.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only the minimum information necessary for the App to function, and we do not collect personal data that identifies you directly unless required for specific features you enable.
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Camera for Android - HD Camera app available on Google Play. It describes our practices regarding information collection, use, storage, sharing, and your rights. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
The App complies with Google Play Developer Program Policies (including User Data and Data Safety requirements), GDPR (for EU users), CCPA/CPRA (for California residents), and CalOPPA.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any type of personal data that identifies you, such as name, email, phone number, or similar identifiers.
The App processes data locally on your device. We may receive unidentified, aggregated app usage data through third-party services (detailed below) to improve performance, but this does not personally identify you.
No user accounts or sign-in are required.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the EU/EEA, our processing relies on:
Contractual necessity: To provide core camera features requiring device permissions.
Legitimate interests: For analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, and ads (where balanced against your rights).
Consent: For certain permissions or personalized ads (managed via Google UMP). You can withdraw consent where applicable by adjusting device settings or contacting us.
4. Permissions We Use in Our App and Why
The App requests specific Android permissions only when needed for features. You can manage or revoke these anytime in your device settings. We explain each permission clearly:
android.permission.CAMERA — Required to access your device's camera for taking photos, recording videos, applying filters, effects, and all core camera functions.
android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO — Needed for video recording audio and the "Take pictures when the set voice is detected" feature (voice-activated photography).
android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — Used to show your current location in watermarks, add location info to JPEG EXIF data, and display location on pictures (geotagging features). Location is only accessed when you enable these options.
Storage permissions (including READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) — Allow the App to save photos/videos to your device, access your media gallery to display files, and handle file operations. When limited access is granted, the App notifies you and may request full access for full functionality. We do not collect or upload any data from your storage.
android.permission.INTERNET and android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Enable features like fetching updates, loading beauty filters/effects (if online), Firebase services, and ad loading. We check network status to optimize connectivity.
android.permission.VIBRATE — Provides haptic feedback for a better interactive experience (e.g., during shutter or notifications).
android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS and android.permission.ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY — Adjust audio during video recording for best quality and manage notification/do-not-disturb settings for the voice detection feature (to suppress system noises on some devices).
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK — Keeps the device awake for background tasks like exact-time reminders or syncing.
android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — Schedules precise alarms/reminders.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — Accesses the advertising ID for personalized ads (via AdMob).
android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE — May access device network/call status for analytics or ad-related purposes.
android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW — Allows overlays (e.g., heads-up alerts or call-end features).
We request only necessary permissions and explain their use during runtime requests.
5. Data Storage and Security
All photos, videos, and app data (e.g., reminders via Room DB) are stored locally on your device. We do not upload personal data to our servers.
We use reasonable measures to protect the App, but no method is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We integrate these libraries/SDKs for functionality. Each has its own privacy practices—review their policies:
