If you want a specialized shield to protect your trailer's mechanical components from the elements, choose Camco EAZ-Lift; if you need a versatile, heavy-duty restraint system to secure loose gear in your truck bed or SUV, choose Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo.
• Camco EAZ-Lift: Offers three-layer breathable protection for an RV electric jack head but is strictly limited to that single component and cannot be used for general cargo. Best for RV owners who live with their rigs exposed to rain and dust.
• Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo: Delivers a massive 4x6 foot elastic mesh that expands to double its size with steel clips for securing loads, though it offers no weatherproofing for equipment. Best for ATV owners and truckers who haul loose items like gear, tools, or supplies.
The Camco EAZ-Lift Electric Tongue Jack Head Cover is a purpose-built accessory designed for one specific job: shielding the electric tongue jack head of an RV or trailer. If you own a travel trailer or fifth wheel where the tongue jack is constantly exposed to the outdoors, this cover addresses a genuine vulnerability. The unit measures 18 inches high by 7.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches deep, a dimension set specifically to envelop the jack head without interfering with the mechanism's operation when retracted or extended.
What makes this product stand out is its construction. It utilizes a three-layer material system consisting of spunbond polypropylene on the outside and inside, sandwiching a microporous breathable film in the middle. This isn't just a flimsy plastic bag; it is engineered to repel water while allowing moisture trapped inside to escape. This breathability is critical because condensation can form under non-breathable covers, potentially leading to corrosion or rust on the metal components of the jack head over time. The black and grey color scheme helps it blend into the typical aesthetic of an RV frame, and the adjustable drawstring closure ensures a snug fit that resists wind snatching it away.
You should buy this item if your primary concern is preserving the longevity of your trailer's lifting mechanism. It is ideal for owners who store their trailers in open lots or park them for long periods where they are subject to sun, rain, and debris. However, you should skip this product entirely if you are looking for a solution to hold down cargo, tie down ATVs, or organize items in a truck bed. Its weight is negligible at less than two ounces, and its design has zero capacity for holding objects other than the jack head itself. It is a passive protector, not an active organizer.

In stark contrast, the Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo Net is a robust solution for anyone who needs to keep things from sliding around during transit. This is not a small pouch or a delicate cover; it is a heavy-duty elastic mesh measuring 4 feet by 6 feet when laid flat. This expansion capability means you can secure bulky, irregularly shaped loads that would easily slip off a standard static net.
The security aspect is handled through a grid of tight 4-inch by 4-inch squares. These smaller openings prevent small items like helmets, toolboxes, or bags of gravel from slipping through, while the overall tension of the stretched mesh holds larger items firmly against the truck bed floor or wall. Installation is straightforward thanks to the inclusion of 12 premium steel D-clips. These clips feature spring-loaded gates that make attaching and detaching the net quick work, even with gloved hands after a day of riding. The kit also includes a zippered storage bag, ensuring the net doesn't become a tangled mess when stored in the garage or under a seat.
This product is the clear choice for ATV owners who transport their machines, helmets, and riding gear in the back of a pickup truck. It is equally effective for hauling firewood, camping equipment, or grocery runs in an SUV or roof rack. The item weighs nearly four pounds, indicating a substantial build quality that suggests it will withstand the rigors of outdoor use and repeated stretching. However, it offers no protection against the weather. If you leave your cargo exposed to rain or snow, this net will do nothing to keep it dry. It is purely a containment device, relying on tension rather than a barrier to function.

• Best for Load Security → Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo: The Grit net is designed specifically to stop cargo from shifting, falling, or rolling during motion.
• Best for Expandability → Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo: With its ability to stretch from 4x6 to 8x12 feet, it handles oversized loads that the rigid Camco cover cannot.
• Best for Component Longevity → Camco EAZ-Lift: The breathable, three-layer fabric is engineered to prevent rust and corrosion on sensitive mechanical parts.
• Best for Versatility → Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo: Works on trucks, SUVs, trailers, and roof racks, whereas the Camco cover fits only one specific RV part.
• Best for Small Items → Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo: The 4x4 inch mesh squares keep tiny gear from disappearing through the gaps.
• Best for Storage Convenience → Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo: Includes a dedicated zippered bag to keep the net organized when not in use.
• Best for Precision Fit → Camco EAZ-Lift: Sized exactly for the dimensions of an electric tongue jack head, offering a tailored protective shell.
For the vast majority of people asking this question, especially those looking to outfit their vehicles for outdoor adventures, I recommend the Grit Performance Truck Bed Cargo. While the Camco EAZ-Lift serves a very specific niche for RV maintenance, the Grit net solves a daily problem for vehicle owners: keeping your gear safe and contained. As an ATV owner myself, I know how frustrating it is to arrive at a trailhead only to find my helmet or tools scattered across the tailgate because they weren't secured. The expandability and heavy-duty clips of the Grit net offer a level of utility that simply outweighs the specialized, passive nature of the jack cover for most buyers. Unless you are specifically trying to save your trailer jack from rust, the Grit Performance net is the smarter investment for your vehicle.
The Camco cover uses a three-layer material with a water-resilient outer layer and a breathable film to shed water and allow moisture to escape, protecting the jack head from rain and dew without trapping condensation inside.
Yes, the product description explicitly lists roof racks as a compatible application, alongside trucks, trailers, and SUVs, thanks to its included steel D-clips and flexible 4x6 foot design.
The kit includes 12 premium steel D-clips with spring-loaded gates to secure the net to various anchor points, plus a zippered storage bag to keep the net tidy when folded up.
No, the cover is dimensioned specifically for electric tongue jack heads, measuring 18 inches high by 7.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches deep, so it will not fit manual jacks or other trailer parts.
