Explore my worldviews, my goals, and aspirations in life through this funny little animation + TedTalk spin off which outlines most about my life. Explores my thoughts when it comes to worldviews, explore my worldviews and views on life, and how life is short and every single human has a potential further than what they think they are capable of. You just need to change your mindset!
This drawing describes most of my worldviews, but portrayed in a singular landscape drawing. It's a bit hard to see them all at first, but, if you look closer enough at the scattered objects, they each have a significant meaning which relates to my worldviews. The question is, are you able to spot and see them all? They all represent an aspect and identify of my life, but they aren't obviously depicted.

From coast to coast, a new surprise awaits you everywhere you go- and I am very grateful to have such land features in my backyard. Canada. One of the most gorgeous places on our planet, and sometimes, I forget the fact that I'm living in Canada! Although it's not common for me to explore Canada, I try to take advantage of every opportunity I get whenever I experience the thrill of a road trip outside of the casual city. The Canadian Parliament building is on the left, representing my values. I am very grateful to have a government that allows its citizens to express themselves, their beliefs, and their opinions regarding the government. Many people tend to criticize our government, mainly Justin Trudeau, but compared to other countries, mainly in the East, our government is one of the best- considering our democratic society. This is demonstrated through the mini-protest, which is visible in front of the parliament building. This expresses my values of equity and free speech and represents our nation has free speech. In terms of resources, I debated between fuel and trees. Although fuel is an important resource, I believe that trees are the most critical in maintaining life. They provide oxygen through photosynthesis and glucose, and their materials serve as a home for other animals while also giving us various wooden furniture, tools, etc. Although Canada has a large population of trees, the truth is that we are killing more trees than ever. Fuel, on the other hand, is an essential aspect of the economy and our transportation system. But, on the topic of water, I think that water is by far the most important but sacred material and resource extracted from our land. Water is essential in everyday usage and life- for us, other animals, and plants through photosynthesis. Only 1.2 percent of our water is drinkable- we're using more water than ever, and we use more water than any other material. Wood can easily be a safer alternative to fuel in heating our foods, etc. To the left, this represents our geography and our land. A major global issue is a pollution, and I tried to incorporate that concept into my drawing with plastic bottles. That ambulance represents my interest in human anatomy, my dream to get into the medical field, and my belief in an afterlife. I have researched ideas revolving around an afterlife, and there is evidence that proves that there is an afterlife. That soul leaving the ambulance shows that. Below the large clock on the parliament building is a phone with a battery labeled "life." I perceive time as the number of years until my journey is completed. Life doesn't last forever, so I see time as how much of my life is completed. As each second passes, I am closer to my death, so I try to take advantage of every second I can to take risks and try new things when possible. Below the river is a university known as the Institute of Technology. My role in society is mainly as a student. That university represents my interest and passion in computer science and programming and my various skill sets in the field I have obtained. My representation of my birthday is a bit complex- but it's through a billboard that says it's my birthday, and to the right is a billboard that states that there are 27 days until Christmas. On my birthdate, November 28th, there are 27 days until Christmas, so some mathematics is required to understand my thought process. On that note, mathematics has a little "pie-house." I tried to do a creative little metaphorical design in which the pie house is supposed to represent the number "pie" in mathematics, which translates to 314. In front of that pie house, it shows me and my family (my brother, mother, and father) and an ox, which in the Chinese Zodiac translates to the year I was born- 2009. Below is another river, promoting my interest in swimming- and my concerns when it comes to pollution. The Great Wall of China is a major representation of the country my family was from- China and shows the nation's greatest and largest landmark. Fun fact, I went there and nearly died- a story for another day. The eagle, which lies at the bottom, represents my value in freedom- something I am very fortunate to have here in Canada. Throughout the various lakes and rivers, you can see a person swimming. That shows my interest and passion for swimming before the pandemic- I enrolled in competitive racing before the start of COVID-19. The Great Wall of China shows my home and birth town, known as Calgary- represented mainly through the Calgary and Bow Tower. The long mountain ranges that span through the top of the paper show my interest in the outdoors and camping, which I obtained from my cousins. The factory which lies to the left of the Great Wall of China shows my view of our economy- mainly consisting of money-hungry industries which neglect our environment for their profit. A pattern you may notice is how green the landscape is and how blue skies are visible. This means I love summer! It's an opportunity for me to spend more time with my family and learn more about my home nation while the weather is not too bad. To sum up, everything which has been mentioned, We all have our unique worldviews. I have mine, and you have yours- all based on personal experience and beliefs influenced by our peers and environments.
In my animation, on the other hand, this was not directly intended to have a lot of symbols but was quite literal in portraying my information. The energy was meant to show my beliefs and the meaning of my life- while incorporating various symbols that guide my life. It shows how in life, I want to make a difference, how technology has influenced that passion because of the endless limits that technology has to offer and how time shows how short our life is- and how I want to learn more about our planet, and that is only possible because of how fortunate I am to grow up in a country of freedom of speech, democracy, and rights. In the background of most of the settings included in my animations, I tried to incorporate as many symbols in the background as possible- because the experience was where most of my time and effort was invested, if I'm being honest. The little portrait of a fish represents my past interest in fishing, mainly with my dad; where we used to go East of Canada, or sometimes even north of Alberta, and spend some quality father-son time together. A trophy shows one of my most significant accomplishments so far- an award that I won back when I competed in swimming before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The skull shows my interest in anatomy, primarily an in-depth look into the function of humans. There are a lot of different symbols I used to portray my various interests, passions, and life, and I invested a lot of time into the details and meaning of the other symbols- considering how boring my life is. Embedded as little easter eggs in my animation and my little quilt drawing, I tried to add symbols that represent my belief and value of equity and equality- that we are all equal no matter our sexuality, gender, religion, etc., and how we all belong to live together in harmony and peace.
