When we're dividing fractions- both numerically, and through a model, we are seeing how many groups a number can fit into a specified amount. Using whole numbers and fractions, we are able to see how many times x can fit into x- usually how many times our second numerator can fit into our first numerator, when we have identified a common multiple. The amount of groups that can fit becomes our whole number, and the remainder becomes our fraction. It's like reverse multiplying. In multiplying, we're increasing by groups- in division, we are seeing how many groups technically.
