About

Hopefully the Covid-19 pandemic will be over soon, but for now, we are still dealing with some of the fallout from these past terrible couple years. There were a lot of reasons for people to feel worried and stressed out during the pandemic. Financial strain, unemployment, health concerns, and many more factors caused people a lot of mental health problems. Also, the pandemic caused a lot of people to feel isolated in their home or apartment.

Marijuana was in so much demand during the pandemic, the United States actually declared it as an essential service amidst the mandated shutdowns. It is safe to say that there were very many people who relied on medical marijuana to get through the pandemic. However, dispensaries all over the nation that were constantly selling out of their products wanted to make sure that their customers and medical patients remained safe while shopping for medical marijuana. One of the ways that they made sure people were not exposed to Covid was through the use of at home delivery.

That’s right - who would have thought we would see a time in the United States where you could legally have marijuana brought straight to your door? Before 2020, California was the only state to ever allow medical marijuana to be delivered to patients. So in terms of the marijuana industry, Covid-19 was actually super helpful for advancing what we can and can’t do with medical marijauna. While Covid is not really coming to an end, it seems that the government mandates as far as businesses opening and closing. This means that there is a question as to if medical marijuana will continue to be allowed to be delivered to marijuana patients all over the country.

Personally, I feel that there is sufficient benefit and reason to allow cannabis deliveries to continue, especially as we look forward to Covid-19 with a new perspective on our medical field. This article is meant to tell you about some of the reasons that I think cannabis delivery should still be allowed in the future.

One of the more compelling reasons as to why medical marijuana should be continued to be delivered is due to the fact that caregivers often have to leave patients alone in order to go get their medical marijuana. Caring for someone who has a life threatening disease or chronic illness is a difficult, full time job. Sometimes, it can be really dangerous for a caregiver to leave a patient alone for any extended amount of time.

For many people that are responsible for taking care of these patients, they have to pick a time in order to go get their medications, prescriptions, and other treatments like medical marijuana. Not to mention, going out to dispensaries puts caregivers in the tough spot of possibly picking up some disease or virus and bringing it back to their patient. Cannabis delivery is a much safer option for these people in question.

Another big reason that cannabis delivery is so important is for people who are dealing with some seriously debilitating disease and cannot leave the house on their own. Getting to the dispensary can be a real challenge for someone using medical marijuana to treat cancerous recovery, diabetes, alzheimers, multiple myeloma, and other similar conditions. It can be extremely difficult for these people to make it to a dispensary near them, especially if their condition is acting up and they do not have any cannabis to use. The idea of medical marijuana being delivered to their door is a huge blessing, and one that we should not overlook in the future.
