CallDefendy Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 29, 2026
CallDefendy respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the CallDefendy Android application accesses, uses, stores, and shares information.
1. Core App Data
CallDefendy is designed to process call-blocking information primarily on your device.
Depending on the features you use, the App may process:
• Incoming caller phone numbers
• Phone numbers you manually add to your block or allow lists
• Contact information, if you grant Contacts permission
• Call screening results and locally generated call history
• Call-blocking preferences and application settings
The developer does not receive or maintain a remote database containing your phone numbers, contacts, block lists, or call history. These details are processed locally for the App’s call-screening functions.
2. Permissions and System Access
Call Screening / Phone Access
CallDefendy uses Android’s Call Screening service to identify and screen incoming calls and apply the blocking rules selected by the user.
Contacts Permission
Contacts permission is optional. If granted, it is used to identify saved callers and provide contact-based filtering features. Contact information is processed locally and is not uploaded to the developer.
Notification Permission
Notification permission may be requested to notify users about blocked calls, protection status, and application activity.
Internet and Network Access
Internet access is used for advertising, consent management, Google Play services, purchases, application updates, and related network operations.
Advertising ID
The App may access the Android Advertising ID through Google Mobile Ads for advertising, measurement, and fraud-prevention purposes, subject to the user’s device and consent settings.
3. How Information Is Used
Information accessed by CallDefendy may be used to:
• Screen and block unwanted calls
• Apply user-created blocking rules
• Filter unknown or hidden callers
• Allow calls from saved contacts
• Display locally generated call history
• Maintain user preferences and protection settings
• Display and measure advertisements
• Verify advertising consent choices
• Process the “Remove Ads” purchase
• Check for application updates
4. Local Storage and Backups
Block lists, allow lists, call-screening history, settings, and preferences are primarily stored locally on the user’s device.
Deleting the App normally removes its locally stored data. However, depending on the user’s Android backup and device-transfer settings, certain application data may be backed up or transferred by Android or Google services. These services are controlled by the user’s device and Google account settings.
5. Advertising and Google Mobile Ads
CallDefendy uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain technical information, including:
• IP address, which may be used to estimate general location
• App launches, taps, ad views, and other user interactions
• Diagnostic and performance information
• Device, App Set, account, or advertising identifiers
This information may be used by Google and its advertising partners for advertising, analytics, ad measurement, personalization where permitted, security, and fraud prevention.
CallDefendy does not provide users’ phone numbers, contacts, block lists, or call history to Google Mobile Ads for advertising purposes.
More information about Google’s data practices is available at:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
https://developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure
6. Advertising Consent and Privacy Choices
CallDefendy uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage advertising consent where required.
Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other applicable regions may be shown a consent message before eligible advertisements are requested.
Where required, users can review or change their advertising privacy choices through the privacy options provided within the App.
Consent choices may affect whether advertisements are personalized or non-personalized. Advertising may still be displayed where legally permitted.
7. Google Play Services and Purchases
CallDefendy uses Google Play services for application distribution, updates, ratings, security, and in-app purchases.
If the user purchases the “Remove Ads” option, Google Play processes the payment. CallDefendy may receive purchase status, product information, and a transaction or purchase token needed to verify and unlock the purchased feature.
The developer does not directly receive or store the user’s full payment card information.
Google Play’s privacy practices are described at:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
8. Data Sharing
The developer does not sell or rent users’ personal information.
Technical information may be processed or shared by integrated Google services as described in this Policy, including Google Mobile Ads, Google User Messaging Platform, and Google Play Billing.
Phone numbers, contact contents, block lists, and locally generated call history are not intentionally transmitted to the developer or shared with advertising partners.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored App data remains on the device until it is deleted by the user, removed through application settings, or removed when the App is uninstalled.
Android backups or device transfers may retain certain data according to the user’s Google account and device backup settings.
Advertising, consent, purchase, and diagnostic information processed by Google is retained according to Google’s applicable policies.
10. User Choices
Users can:
• Grant or revoke application permissions through Android Settings
• Add or remove blocked and allowed numbers
• Change call-screening preferences
• Reset or delete the Android Advertising ID through device settings
• Review advertising privacy choices where the option is available
• Remove locally stored App data by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling it
• Purchase the optional “Remove Ads” feature
Revoking certain permissions may prevent related features from working correctly.
11. Children’s Privacy
CallDefendy is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us using the address below.
12. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. Core call-screening information is primarily kept on the user’s device.
However, no device, storage method, or network transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the App’s features, third-party services, legal obligations, or data practices change.
Updates will be published on this page and reflected by the “Last Updated” date.
