📖 About the Volume
In an era marked by cultural upheaval, political realignment, and social reimagination, interdisciplinary scholarship has become essential to understanding the complexities of our world. This edited volume seeks to bring together critical and creative contributions that explore the dynamic intersections of culture, identity, power, and representation. The aim is to illuminate how the arts and social sciences collaboratively engage with contemporary realities and offer alternative ways of seeing, knowing, and intervening.
We invite original, unpublished chapters from scholars, researchers, and practitioners working across a diverse spectrum of disciplines, including history, cultural studies, literature, fine arts, sociology, anthropology, gender studies, political science, philosophy, communication and media studies, tourism and heritage studies, theatre and performance, languages, economics, and education.
Key areas include, but are not limited to:
• History: Historical narratives, cultural memory, and the politics of the past
• Art: Art as resistance and social commentary
• Cultural Studies: Memory, heritage, and identity politics
• Urban Studies: Urban spaces, cultural expression, and representation
• Gender Studies: Gender, embodiment, and performance
• Indigenous Knowledge: Epistemologies, decolonial thought, and indigenous practices
• Popular Culture: Media, technology, and the impact on social narratives
• Tourism: Cultural tourism, place-making, and political economies of tourism
• Environmental Humanities: Artistic responses to ecological crises
• Education: Knowledge production, education, and social change
• Economics: Economic policies, cultural economies, and global transformations
• Language and Discourse: Language, power, and discourse in society
Contributors are encouraged to engage critically and imaginatively, drawing on interdisciplinary frameworks that challenge conventional boundaries and foreground diverse voices and visions.
