SkillsUSA is student-led, meaning that a team of students called chapter officers is leading the day-to-day management of your SkillsUSA chapter! They plan events, lead recruitment efforts, manage the chapter budget, and get members excited to participate! Roles and Responsibilities:
Guides the chapter and officer team in setting goals
Presides over meetings
Keeps members informed and maintains order
Signs chapter certificates and important documents

Presides over meetings when the president cannot
Responsible for managing the chapter’s committees to complete the work of the chapter
Carries specific responsibility for program planning
Assists the president and assumes the presidency if the position is vacant before end of the term

Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintains membership records
Keeps a record of all chapter funds
Maintains records of chapter income and expenses
Oversees the chapter budget
Caitlyn Cifuentes
Roles and Responsibilities:
Communicates news to chapter members, administrators, school community and the public
Captures photographs and videos of chapter activities
Uses a variety of communication tools to manage the image of the chapter including social media, local newspapers, radio, television stations and SkillsUSA websites
Writes news releases or blogs, creates vlogs or videos and writes captions for photos

Keeps a collection of past events, including pictures, videos, and other materials related to SkillsUSA
Captures visual records of SkillsUSA activities and events.
Helps Reporter with promotional materials like advertisements and press releases.
Is responsible for creating a scrapbook or other visual representation of the chapter's or organization's achievements

Roles and Responsibilities:
Keeps all chapter records
Advises the president on agenda matters and prepares meeting agenda
Takes notes and prepares minutes of each meeting
Oversees all chapter correspondence
Ryan Kelley
Roles and Responsibilities:
Be familiar with and refer to Robert’s Rules of Order during meetings
Has a working knowledge of parliamentary procedure or a willingness to learn
Works with the president to ensure parliamentary procedure is followed
Offers guidance to members during meetings for effective and efficient meetings
Shandie Laseter
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serves as the official SkillsUSA Chapter representative and liaison to the college and community.
Ensures chapter activities align with national and state SkillsUSA guidelines and objectives.
Provides mentorship and guidance to chapter officers and student members.
Oversees the planning and execution of chapter meetings and events.
Supports the use of Robert’s Rules of Order to promote organized and professional meetings.
Coordinates with faculty, staff, and industry partners to foster student opportunities.
Encourages leadership, service, and career development among members.
Approves and supervises chapter fundraisers and budget expenditures.
