A proxy is kinda like a gateway between you and the internet. A proxy acts just like a combination of a web browser and a vpn. Also, don't enter passwords and other sensitive information into a proxy. As long as you don't put anything harmful or sensitive on a proxy, all your information is perfectly secure.
