Privacy Policy
Introduction
DIGITAL FL TORIQUL LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the "Calculator Lock" mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, why it is needed, how it is used, and how your private files are handled inside the App.
Core functionality
Calculator Lock is a privacy vault app disguised as a calculator. The App helps users create a PIN, optionally enable fingerprint unlock, hide photos, videos, audio files, documents, and folders, view hidden files inside the vault, restore or unhide files, move files to Trash, permanently delete files from Trash, create custom vault folders, change themes, and restore a vault after reinstall when supported by device storage access.
Local and offline processing
Your hidden files are processed and stored locally on your device. We do not upload your photos, videos, audio files, documents, folders, PIN, vault contents, or recovered files to our server. The App can hide, preview, restore, or delete your selected files on-device.
Files selected by you
The App accesses files only when you choose to import, hide, view, restore, delete, or manage them. This may include photos, videos, audio files, documents, and folders selected from your device storage or media library.
Vault storage
When you hide a file, the App copies or moves the selected file into the App's vault storage area. Depending on Android version and permission status, the App may also request deletion or hiding of the original file from its public location. Vault files remain on your device unless you restore, unhide, delete, erase, uninstall the App, clear App data, or your device storage is changed.
File details we may use locally
The App may locally read and display file names, file types, file sizes, file paths, folder names, album names, thumbnails, durations, and basic metadata so you can identify and manage your hidden files. This information is used inside the App and is not sent to our server.
PIN and fingerprint
The App uses a calculator PIN to protect access to the vault. Your PIN is stored as a one-way hash in local app preferences, not as plain text. If you enable fingerprint unlock, Android's biometric system verifies your fingerprint. The App does not receive or store your fingerprint image or biometric template.
Recovery code
The App includes a recovery code feature so you can reset access if you forget your PIN. This feature is designed to help you regain access to the App, but you remain responsible for keeping your device and vault secure.
Restore Vault after reinstall
The Restore Vault feature checks local vault-related storage areas and reconnects saved hidden files when possible. This feature may require storage permission and may not recover files if they were deleted, erased, removed by the system, cleared with App data, or unavailable on the device.
Permissions used
USE_BIOMETRIC is used only when you enable fingerprint unlock. File picker and media access are used so you can choose files to hide or import. All files access / MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE may be requested on supported Android versions to hide files more completely, restore vault files after reinstall, manage folders, and reduce extra delete prompts. FileProvider access is used only to safely open or share files through Android when needed.
Why All files access may be requested
Calculator Lock's core purpose is to hide and restore user-selected files across photos, videos, audio, documents, and folders. On newer Android versions, broad storage access may be needed to locate original files, copy files into the vault, remove visible originals, reconnect vault files after reinstall, and restore files back to public storage. The App uses this access only for vault file management features chosen by you.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, messages, precise location, payment information, photos, videos, audio content, document contents, folder contents, PIN in plain text, fingerprint data, or private vault files on our server.
Advertising and purchases
If the App displays ads or offers premium features in the future, third-party services such as Google Play or advertising providers may process device, purchase, or ad-related information according to their own policies. We do not sell, rent, or trade your private vault files.
Sharing and external actions
If you tap Share, Rate App, More Apps, open a file with another app, or restore a file to a public location, Android or the selected third-party app may handle that action. The third-party app's own privacy policy may apply.
Local preferences
The App may save local preferences such as PIN hash, biometric setting, selected theme, onboarding status, vault restore state, rating prompt status, and simple vault metadata required for App functionality.
Data sharing
We do not share your hidden files, vault contents, PIN, fingerprint data, photos, videos, audio files, documents, or folders with our server. We may share information only if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or when you intentionally use Android sharing or another external app.
Data security
We use local app storage, Android permissions, PIN lock, fingerprint unlock, and screenshot/recent-preview protection features to help protect your vault. No security method is perfect. You should keep your device locked and maintain separate backups for important files.
Children's privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Governing law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates may be shown in the App or on the Google Play Store listing.
