In this tutorial, we'll show you how to customize Project5; taking control of instruments, effects, and track parameters with your MIDI keyboard or controller. You can edit synth parameters with knobs and sliders, play different instruments simultaneously from one or more keyboards and trigger whole MIDI and Audio phrases in-sync and on the fly. Launch Cyclone DXi. Now click on the 'open' button in the Loop Bin. Select the Mad Funk 5 loop from the Smart Loops' Machine Kit (Found on Disk 1). Preview the loop then drag it to Pad 1. By default, each pad will play looped and in-sync with the project tempo when you click on it with the mouse.

Another throwback for me, was due to the lack of power of my PC [andperhaps the efficiency of Project 5]. My set-up could only reallyhandle 4-5 tracks of VST synths before the processor protested andaudible clicks, stutters and silences resulted. My solution to thisproblem was to render the first few tracks to a WAV file then start anew project with that WAV file as one track then layering additionalsynths on top of this; very similar to the audio bouncing I used to doon the multi-tracks! There were some drawbacks to this technique, butit sufficed!

This all started with an article I read about "MESSENGER," which is an acronym for "MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemistry and Ranging." It was the seventh Discovery class mission, and the first spacecraft to orbit Mercury. Its primary goal was to study the geology, magnetic field, and chemical composition of the planet. After I read this article, I wished a similar project could roll around our planet and study mankind and the effects that the social-media driven culture is having on our ability to communicate and have empathy and compassion for one another.

The festival will have a wide range of activities available for elementary-age children including corn hole, musical chairs, pin the beak on the eagle, ring toss and a cakewalk. There will also be arts and crafts such as face painting, a pumpkin painting station and a photo booth, according to Smith.
