Shanthappa killed Puttappa during a panchayat meeting in 1958, and was jailed for the crime. After his release in 1966, Shanthappa rebuilt his criminal empire and attacked Siddagonda again. As he had taken abundant precaution, Siddagonda managed to survive, but his left hand was chopped off. In retaliation, Siddagonda fatally attacked Shanthappa, and then dismembered and decapitated him.

Directed by Manjunatha B Nagba, who also plays one of the leads in the film, this crime thriller is about a spate of rapes and murders in Karnataka that baffles the investigating team, as the bodies they discover do not match the reports of missing victims. How a bunch of friends then get inadvertently involved in this crime forms the crux of the narrative. The film also stars Santosh Karki, Disha Shetty, Cheluvaraj, Mahendra Gowda, among others.

The author clearly has a dismal view of humanity. This newborn baby asks for forgiveness already for those sins which he would commit. The author knows that no human being has the power to avoid all sin, and therefore, he uses the voice of the newborn to ask for forgiveness of the sins which he would be sure to commit. He asks for forgiveness for his words, his thoughts, his treason, and even for murder. The author seems to assume that this newborn will inevitably commit all of these crimes.
