Research Interests

Applying computational modeling approaches (Density Functional & Wave-Function Theory and Molecular Dynamics) to study:

  • Electrochemical energy storage.

  • Solvation phenomena.

  • Structural characterization of layered/porous materials.

  • Catalytic and electrocatalytic processes.

  • Gas adsorption and separation in porous materials.

  • Computational spectroscopy. (IR, UV-Vis)

  • Porous materials: Metal-Organic Frameworks and Covalent Organic Frameworks.

  • Host-Guest interactions: Accurate calculations and qualitative/quantitate analysis of the interaction mechanisms.

  • Carbon and Hetero-atom Nanotubes.
