CACHE PURGE PRO PRIVACY POLICY

1. Overview

Cache Purge PRO is a Chrome extension that helps users bypass, clear, temporarily disable and inspect website cache. It provides Fresh Reload, Cache-Buster, Clear Website Cache, temporary No-Cache Mode and Cache Diagnostics.

Cache Purge PRO processes limited technical browsing information locally inside the user’s Chrome browser. It does not operate an external server and does not sell or share user information.

2. Information Processed by the Extension

To provide its cache-management and diagnostic features, Cache Purge PRO may locally process:

• The URL and hostname of HTTP or HTTPS browser tabs.
• Response status codes and selected cache-related response headers.
• URLs of page documents, CSS files and JavaScript files.
• Browser-provided cache and resource timing information.
• Whether a service worker controls the current website.
• User preferences, such as animation mode and diagnostic visibility.
• Temporary No-Cache Mode, loading and comparison states.

The extension does not read or collect page text, form entries, passwords, authentication details, payment information, personal messages or files.

3. How the Information Is Used

The locally processed information is used only to:

• Show the currently selected website.
• Perform user-requested cache actions.
• Display cache diagnostics.
• Compare normal and cache-bypassed page loads.
• Run temporary No-Cache Mode.
• Display the loading animation.
• Save the user’s extension preferences.

The information is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, credit decisions or any unrelated purpose.

4. Local Storage and Retention

Temporary diagnostic information, response headers, resource URLs, comparison results and active cache-action states are stored in Chrome’s extension session storage.

This temporary information is removed when the relevant tab closes, the browser session ends or the extension is updated or removed.

Extension preferences may be stored using Chrome’s synchronized extension storage. Chrome may synchronize these preferences through the user’s Google account if Chrome Sync is enabled. Cache Purge PRO does not operate its own synchronization server.

5. Cache Clearing

When the user selects Clear Website Cache or activates No-Cache Mode, Cache Purge PRO may remove the following cache-related data for the selected website:

• HTTP browser cache
• Cache Storage
• Service worker registrations

Cache Purge PRO does not delete cookies, saved logins, browsing history, passwords, downloads, form data or unrelated website storage.

6. Data Sharing

Cache Purge PRO does not transmit browsing information, response headers or diagnostic results to the developer or any third party.

The extension does not contain advertising services, analytics services, tracking SDKs or external telemetry.

7. Permission Usage

Cache Purge PRO uses Chrome permissions only for its cache-management purpose:

• activeTab – Works with the currently selected browser tab after a user action.
• alarms – Automatically ends temporary No-Cache Mode.
• browsingData – Removes cache-related data for the selected website.
• declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess – Applies temporary no-cache request headers in the selected tab.
• storage – Saves preferences and temporary diagnostic information.
• webRequest – Reads cache-related response metadata for visible diagnostics.
• HTTP and HTTPS host access – Allows the extension to work on user-selected websites and display the loading animation.

8. Remote Code

All JavaScript, CSS, images and animation files are included inside the extension package. Cache Purge PRO does not download or execute code from external servers.

9. User Control

Users can stop No-Cache Mode at any time, restore a clean URL, change extension preferences or uninstall the extension through Chrome.

Uninstalling Cache Purge PRO stops all extension activity and removes its locally stored extension data.

10. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may be updated if the extension’s functionality or data-handling practices change. The updated policy will display a revised “Last Updated” date.
