Trip Dates: 27-28 Sep, 2025
If you’ve always thought Kodaikanal was just for tourists, we felt the same—until recently. When we received multiple requests for trips within Tamil Nadu, we set out to explore Kodaikanal. What we discovered was a collection of offbeat gems, and now, we invite you to join us on this unique adventure. This time we have planned to explore the forests between Theni and Kodaikanal.
Our journey lies between Kumbakarai Falls in Theni and Vattakanal in Kodaikanal, where you can witness the breathtaking view from Dolphin’s Nose. Wildlife sightings on this route may be rare, but for bird lovers, the forests and valleys offer plenty of joyful moments.
This trek offers a thrilling escape from the usual hill-station trails. What truly stands out is the villagers' tradition of walking barefoot through this land, a quiet reminder of their deep bond with nature.
To make this beautiful trek accessible to everyone, we've added the option to choose the route that suits you best.
Kumbakarai to Vattakanal (Tough) – an uphill route, suitable for regular trekkers.
Vattakanal to Kumbakarai (Moderate) – a downhill route, those who prefer an easier trail.
Though the group may take different routes during the trek, everyone comes together at the campsite for the night, midway through the journey.
