What’s new in this off-beat itinerary compared to our previous one?

This time, the journey takes a small but exciting turn. We’re adding Ranong, a lesser-explored gem that brings a fresh rhythm to the trip. Along with this new destination, the adventure now stretches a little longer, 11 days instead of 10, giving us more time to slow down, wander deeper, and truly soak in the experience.

🐘 ITINERARY:

🇹🇭 Day-1 (Fri, 01-May):

Arrive in Phuket, Thailand

Land at Phuket International Airport (HKT) any time before 2:00 PM on this day.
Spend the evening at the Siam Niramit Phuket show.

The Siam Niramit Phuket show is a world-class stage production featuring over 100 performers and stunning special effects that bring 700 years of Thai history, culture, and spiritual beliefs to life.

🇹🇭 Day-2 (Sat, 02-May):

Journey to Kapoe

The day begins early as we board a bus towards Ranong, a quiet town by the Andaman Sea, close to the southern border of Myanmar. The journey winds through lush green mountains and national parks of Thailand, and by afternoon we arrive at Kapoe.
Spend rest of the day in a small, family-run eco-resort set within a serene organic farm. You’ll be staying in charming wooden cottages and tree houses—rustic, cozy, and wonderfully Instagram-worthy. The on-site restaurant serves wholesome meals made with fresh produce harvested straight from their own organic garden.

🇹🇭 Day-3 (Sun, 03-May):

A day in Ranong

After breakfast, we head to the mangrove forest in the heart of Ranong city. The pathways winding through the mangroves lead to stunning viewpoints, where you can pause and soak in the beauty of the tangled roots and arching branches that shape this unique landscape.
Next, we set off on a short hike to the base of the majestic Ngao Waterfall, a 300-meter cascade tucked inside Namtok Ngao National Park. For those seeking a little extra adventure, there’s an optional trail that takes you all the way to the top of the waterfall.
We end the day at the region’s famed hot springs. Often compared to Japanese onsens, Ranong’s hot springs emerge naturally at around 65°C and are cooled to a soothing 41°C for bathing. Slip into the warm waters, let your muscles relax, and enjoy a deeply refreshing and therapeutic experience.

🇹🇭 Day-4 (Mon, 04-May):

Ferry to Ko Samui - Another epitome of tropical paradise

Today kicks off our island adventure as we drive to Surat Thani from Ranong, and catch a ferry to Ko Samui, a true tropical paradise. Feel the sea breeze as we sail toward this idyllic destination, renowned for its pristine beaches and delectable Thai cuisine.
Explore Ko Samui’s bustling street food scene in Fishermen's village and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the island’s markets and nightlife.
We will rent a scooter and explore the island.

🇹🇭 Day-5 (Tue, 05-May):

To the most remote - Ang Thong Islands

Gear up for a day of adventure as we explore the natural wonders of Koh Samui. Embark on a thrilling speedboat ride to Ang Thong Marine Park, a remote and secluded paradise consisting of lush islands and crystal-clear waters.
Explore the secluded beaches of Ang Thong Marine Park, snorkel, kayak, or just swim in the clear waters. It's one of the remotest parts of Thailand.

🇹🇭 Day-6 (Wed, 06-May):

Fly to Chiang Mai, and a trip to waterfall land

We’re starting our adventure bright and early, flying from the tropical paradise of Ko Samui to Chiang Mai. Our journey will take us through one of the most stunning airports you'll ever see—an experience so remarkable, it’s a must-have on every traveler’s bucket list.
We arrive in Chiang Mai before noon and check-in.
Nestled in the mountains, Chiang Mai feels like stepping into a storybook—rich with vibrant night markets, time-honored crafts, and exotic villages (we will be staying in one next day).
The highlight of the day will be experiencing the Land of Angels waterfalls in Dandewada—a slice of paradise that seems almost too perfect to be real. With cascading waterfalls, lush gardens, and a quaint café, this enchanting spot will make our first evening in Chiang Mai truly memorable.

🇹🇭 Day-7 (Thu, 14-Aug):

ATV rides and Mae Kampong Fairy Town in Chiang Mai

Today, we’ll hit the trails on ATVs in Mae Taeng Valley, tackling muddy paths and rugged terrain. The stunning, wild landscape will make this adventure truly unforgettable.
If the weather permits, we can also do Rafting, through the thrilling Class III and IV rapids of the Mae Taeng River, through lush forests (We have not included the cost of Rafting as the activity depends on weather)
After ATV ride and Rafting, we are going to a fairyland - Mae Kampong Village - and spend the night there.

🇹🇭 Day-8 (Fri, 08-May):

Mae Kampong village experience & overnight train to Bangkok

Tucked away in the misty hills of northern Thailand, Mae Kampong Village is a living postcard of tranquility and charm. Imagine strolling through a village where traditional wooden houses peek out from the emerald embrace of lush forest, and every corner reveals a slice of serene rural life.
Here, time seems to slow down as we wander through vibrant markets brimming with local crafts, and take small hikes to streams, and savor dishes crafted with age-old recipes. Mae Kampong is an invitation to experience the heart of Thai culture.
As the day winds down, we’ll board a Thai sleeper train for a memorable journey to Bangkok. From the cozy ambiance of the train to the camaraderie of fellow travelers and the experience of dining in the restaurant coach, this overnight ride will be a highlight of our adventure.

🇹🇭 Day-9 (Sat, 09-May):

Night at a hotel which floats on a river in Kanchanaburi

As the train reaches Bangkok, we shall take a road trip to Kanchanaburi, a land of lush forests and winding rivers, where we'll spend the night floating atop the mighty river Kwai.
Accessible only by catamaran boats, we'll make our way to a unique floating hotel situated on the majestic River Kwai.
Experience the thrill of staying in rooms that literally float on the river, providing a one-of-a-kind accommodation experience.
You could actually dive straight from your rooms into the fast-flowing river with a life jacket.
As the night falls, feel the gentle sways (literally) of the river beneath you, adding to the adventure of your stay. This might just be the most restful sleep you’ve had in years.

🇹🇭 Day-10 (Sun, 10-May):

Explore Kanchanaburi & Food tour in Bangkok

The first half of the day is reserved for exploring Kanchanaburi. Venture into the dense jungles, feed elephants, visit a village of an ethinic group who are originally from Mangolia.
Once again, when it's time to leave the floating hotel, we board those longtail boats and cruise through river Kwai, to reach the pier.
By late afternoon, we’ll reach the capital city, Bangkok. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city on your own and indulge in some light shopping. You may visit the world-famous Chatuchak Weekend Market (open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on this day) or head to the 24-hour Ying Charoen Market for a lively local shopping experience.
Finally, it's time to experience the e-scooter food tour, where each one will be given a e-scooter, and our local Thai friend will take you along on a guided food tour through the alleys of Bangkok.

🇹🇭 Day-11 (Mon, 11-May):

Take flights from Bangkok to India

By now, after soaking in the diverse wonders of Thailand, you might feel a mix of exhaustion and joy from the incredible variety you’ve experienced. As our journey wraps up, we’ll bid a heartfelt farewell to Thailand’s beauty.
Board your flight from Bangkok to India, carrying with you the cherished memories of an adventure-filled trip and unforgettable moments.

The trip cost is calculated based on the current USD–INR exchange rate (1 USD = ₹91.50 as of 25-Jan). The final cost may increase or decrease marginally depending on the exchange rate one week prior to the trip.

- International flights from India and back (approx. ₹25k).
- Tourist Visa (Currently free for Indians).
- Travel Insurance (Approx ₹600)
- Meals which are not included in the day-wise itinerary above. (Approx ₹7,000 total for all days)
- Rafting if weather permits will cost approx. ₹4,500
- Cost incidental to any change in the itinerary/stay on account of flight cancellation due to bad weather, ill health, roadblocks, landslides, floods and/or any factors beyond control. If flights get cancelled due to weather, we will arrange alternative stay at minimal cost.

🐘GENERAL INFO:

➡️ Basics

- Total number of slots: 14
- Age group: 18 to 45
- A valid Indian Passport with at-least 6 months validity from your date of travel is required.
- Gender ratio: We will ensure that there is a min of 40% female participants.
- First preference for solo participants. We will accept only one couple for the entire group. However, there will be an additional sur-charge for couples requesting for a Double bedroom.
- Generally, we don't allow group participation in any of our trips. However, you are permitted to bring along one of your friends or a family member with you.
- Group registrations of more than 3 persons will most likely get rejected.
- All activities are subject to weather and local rules.
- Please note that there could be small changes in the itinerary due to local restrictions, and suitable alternative plans will made in such cases.
- We will assist you to get your currency exchanged before your travel.

➡️ Flights:

- We prefer that you book international flight tickets by yourself to take advantage of best possible rates and bank offers.
- We will be sharing a detailed guide for booking the flight yourself. Kindly book flights only after you receive the flight booking detailed info document from CAC.
- Flights have to be booked as mentioned below:
  - Onward flight: Land in Phuket International Airport (HKT) any time before 2PM on 01-May.
  - Return flight: Fly from Bangkok Airport - Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) any time on 11-May.
- Please book flights only after you make the advance payment for the trip, and after receiving an acknowledgement from CAC about your slot confirmation.
- Airport pickup and drop are included only if you choose our recommended flights or arrive within 1 hour of the suggested flight time in the same airport.
- At the time of confirmation, we will let you know which flights needs to be booked, so that the entire team travels together. We can help you if you really need any flight booking assistance.

➡️ Food:

- Vegetarian food will be hard to find in most places. But we will try to get Thai veg food arranged for you. However, vegetarians must carry some ready-to-eat food packets from India.
- Please note, we will strictly NOT visit any Indian Restaurants and waste our time. We expect all those who join us to enjoy Thai local food.
- Some of the places in the itinerary where we will be travelling are very rarely visited by Indians. And chances of Indian food are almost NIL.

➡️ Accommodations:

- All accommodations will be separate for male and female participants.
- Accommodations are Double/Triple/Quad sharing.
- Separate double rooms for couples can be arranged for all days at an additional cost. Contact us for details.

➡️ Be a responsible traveler:

- Remember we are visiting another country, and it is important to respect local traditions and culture. Be kind to everyone.

➡️ Others:

- Detailed information on Things to carry, mobile SIM cards, connectivity, and do's and don'ts will be provided post confirmation for the trip.

➡️ Payment details:

Confirm your spot with an initial payment of ₹20,000 and it is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Balance to be settled during the trip in USD or Thai Baht.
- Note: Advance payments can also be made through credit cards. EMI options are also available.

➡️ Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation by participant:

- Advance paid during trip confirmation is strictly non-refundable at any circumstances, as we group book the transports, accommodations and activities. Also note that the advance payment will strictly be not transferrable to someone else or to a future trip, in case you are not joining the trip.
- Cancellations made within 15 days of the trip require participants to cover 75% of the total trip cost, since most bookings are confirmed and non-refundable by this stage. You will be required to settle the applicable amount. Please note that non-compliance may affect your eligibility for future trips with CAC.

Cancellation due to unforeseen situations beyond our control:

- In the event of trip cancellations due to natural calamities or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, political unrest, or government-imposed restrictions)—essentially, any situation beyond CAC’s control—cancellation charges up to ₹2,000 will be non-refundable. The remaining amount can be fully transferred to rescheduled dates or applied to any other trip of your choice.

Invitation and Selection Process: Once you register, shortlisted participants will receive an official invitation to join the trip along with details for making the advance payment. Please note that the selection process is solely at the discretion of Coimbatore Adventure Club. If all slots are filled, we will notify you and place you on a waitlist.
Advance Payment: Shortlisted participants will receive advance payment instructions. Your slot for the trip will be confirmed only upon successful payment of the advance.
Flight Tickets: After your advance payment is processed and confirmed by us, you may proceed to book your flight tickets.
