Privacy Policy for Port & Cable Identifier

This privacy policy describes how Port & Cable Identifier ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information when you use our iOS application.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
• Photos you provide for identification
When you take or upload a photo to identify a cable or port, that image is sent to our third-party AI provider (via a secure API) solely to analyze and return identification results. We do not store your photos on our servers after the request is complete. Images are used only for the purpose of cable/port identification.
• Saved identifications (optional)
If you choose to save an identification result, the app may store the result and an optional image on your device only (local storage). This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers or used for any other purpose.
• Subscription and purchase data
If you subscribe to Cable Identifier, payment is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat and Apple may collect and process data (such as purchase history and device identifiers) in accordance with their respective privacy policies. We do not receive or store your payment details.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers unless you voluntarily contact us (e.g., for support). We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
• AI provider: Images are sent to a third-party AI service to perform cable/port identification. The provider processes the image only to return identification results.
• Apple: In-app purchases and subscription management are handled by Apple.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat for subscription management. Their privacy policy applies to data they process: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
4. Your Choices and Rights
• You can stop using the app at any time.
• You can delete saved identifications from within the app (if the app supports deletion of saved items).
• You can avoid providing photos if you do not wish to use the identification feature.
• For subscription and purchase data, you can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard practices to send data securely (e.g., HTTPS). Images are transmitted only for identification and are not retained on our systems after processing.
6. Children
Port & Cable Identifier is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
