Health Economist
I am a Health Economist and an Assistant Teaching Professor in Health & Society and Economics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. My research focuses on the economics of unhealthy behaviors and the role of public policy in shaping individual decision-making. I am an experienced educator with a teaching portfolio that spans high school mathematics to university-level courses, most notably, Health Economics.
I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois Chicago, where my dissertation examined the economic and public health effects of tobacco control policies—specifically, Tobacco 21 laws, cigarette excise taxation, and smoking-related birth outcomes.
Updates
I'll be attending and presenting work from my dissertation at SRNT (Baltimore, March 4–7) and MEA (Chicago, March 20–22). If you have questions about my research or teaching, I'd love to chat. Hope to see you there!
