Nature of Work:

1. Lead a team of accountants and professionals, managing the day-to-day Finance, Accounts, costing and treasury functions of the company.

2. Monthly MIS, Costing and other reports to Management and implementing the plan of action with the help of other department heads.

3. Review, evaluation and enhancing the various internal control parameters within the Software systems used in the company in the following IFC modules such as Procurement to Pay (ERP & Tally), Order to Cash (ERP & CRM), Record to Report (ERP & Tally) and Hire to Pay (HR Software).

4. Liaising with Internal & IFC Auditors for monitoring and assessing the internal controls over financial reporting including the regular assessment of Risk Control Matrix (RCM).

5. Liaising with External Auditors (Statutory, Tax and Secretarial) for accounts closing, financial reporting, filing tax and secretarial returns and ensuring compliance with relevant laws (Income Tax, GST and RoC).

6. Overseeing the Internal Controls, IT General control, compliance, and Payroll functions to ensure effective operations. Gap Analysis in Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and necessary guidance for course correction.

7. Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO), directly reporting to Managing Director.

8. Review and evaluation of groups land documents and necessary steps to correct the documentation errors with the help of Advocate.

9. Analysis and Documenting the old and current records of all Trademark and Copyright registrations of the company and liaising with Consultants and Advocates for filing oppositions for the same.

Company Background:

Established in the year 1971 at Tirupur in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu as a manufacturer of Cotton Knitwear. Focused on apparel and home products for the age group of newborns, infants, and toddlers. Cater to reputed brands and retailers in the United States of America (USA) and the European Union (EU).

Own and operate facilities in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and the USA. The company is vertically integrated with the following in-house capabilities: Spinning, Knitting, Dyeing & Finishing, Fabric Printing, Garment Printing & Embroidery, and Cutting & Sewing.

Nature of Work:

1. Lead a team of four (CA semi-qualified) executives responsible for statutory compliance in GST, Income Tax, ROC and Customs. Built custom working templates for validating the monthly TDS, GSTR 1, GSTR 3B & GST refund workings using Power Query and other advanced Microsoft Excel tools.

2. Managing the Finance & Accounts team of 20 Accountants and Accounts Officers handling Accounts, Finance and Treasury functions on a daily basis. Developed a solid system for record to report and event reporting in Microsoft Teams. Participated actively in the implementation of Power BI Reports for tracking production across the company.

3. Review of Accounts, Financials, Statutory Compliance, and Records of various Group Concerns (Comprising Private Limited Companies and Partnership Firms).

4. Closure of Accounts, and Preparation of Financial Statements (as per IGAAP & Ind AS). Processing Income Tax Returns (ITR) and Networth Statements for Group Individuals (Directors and Key Shareholders).

5. Liaison with External Auditors (Statutory, Secretarial, Tax, Transfer Pricing, IFC, and Internal).

6. Liaison with Government officials of Income tax, GST, and Customs for various pending cases.

7. Handling Adishtam Ventures Private Limited Finance, Accounting, Secretarial, and Statutory Compliance (Subsidiary of Jay Jay Mills). Developed and executed the overall Accounting and Taxation framework (SOP's) in the subsidiary mentioned above.
