2022: Great salesmen see trends in the community. Adam noticed how the gaming community is continuing to grow and develop. While gamers can play at home, he saw that there is a need for gamers to connect face to face. He sold a few computers to apartment complexes and worked with the Carrollton Recreation team to design and install their Esports Lab at the Crosby Recreation Center.
Early 2023: Adam started working with the city of Denton. They were sold a set of gaming computers by a company that ordered and delivered but did not help them install or design the room. He came to the rescue to help them set up the lab and set up some programming. However, Adam also realized that he didn't know the Esports game. After a sit down with Wes, the vision for DFW Esports started to build. A plan for tournaments and camps and gaming started to form.
Summer 2023: After reaching out to a few people that were connected to the esports community in Denton, the guys connected with Kyle. Kyle is a UNT grad that knows esports community.
We had a promotion day at Denia for the community and Kyle runs Smash tournaments on Saturdays.
January 2024: Adam and Wes traveled to Alabama to set up their esports lab and install computers at Troy University for their future esports team. Can't wait to see the teams compete.
Summer 2024: We hosted our first esports camps. This has been an awesome time of connecting and coaching gamers.
We started with the name DFW Esports. Over the first year, we recognized that this may be a bit limiting for the future. We are working on rebranding to C2 Esports. C2 is for Create Community. This name embodies our purpose. As we help communities connect, we want to find talented people in the community to train as coaches and tournament coordinators.
Denton is where we are currently most active in coaching and programming.
We look forwarrd to helping more communities CREATE a COMMUNITY of gamers.
