Mechanical Engineer

As the human population and median age increase, it is becoming increasingly important to explore the limits of human physical and cognitive capabilities through the use of prosthetics, genetic engineering, and neural engineering. Assistive technology is an area where there is a great deal of potential for innovation and development. Personally, I am interested in exploring the application of mechanical engineering principles to the study of human anatomy, specifically in the areas of biological system modeling and biomaterials. By creating models and analyzing and designing various human bio-mechanisms, we can improve and enhance people's lives through technology. The possibility of recreating biological systems as mechanical systems is an exciting prospect, and one that I believe has enormous potential for making a positive impact.
