October 2018
Route (2 days)
Day 1:
- Big Pines trail
- Mallard Lake
Day 2:
- Barron River
- Booth's Rock trail
- Hardwood Lake trail
After my last trip was cut a little short due to injury, was nice to get out for another (albeit short) trip before the season's end. Think this was my latest in the year I've been into the park, while not the warmest, but a refreshing temperature, and certainly enjoyed not having to worry about the bugs lol... Think I may have to plan trips into the park at this time of year going forwards... This trip was another attempt this year to try to squeeze in a few spots on my 'Algonquin to do list' with limited time availability...

Mallard Lake
Booked the drive in site @ Mallard Lake as I was getting into the park late.. This was 'home' for the night... Was a little below zero @ night, so was happy to have brought some extra blankets...

Otters! While I've seen plenty evidence of them, I haven't been lucky enough to see them up close in the park before... Wasn't quite fast enough with the camera so not the greatest quality, but was great to see them nonetheless...
