• The quotation and invoicing process with a calculation of service cost?

  • Basically, the service cost can be estimated by a simple equation, hourly rate X total work hours. There is no hidden charge or administrative cost. Also, there will not be any additional cost since we apply fixed price policy even though the task takes more work hour and higher complexity of the analysis than the initial estimation.

  • * If there is no CAD model of the subject, it's okay. We are expert in creating 3D CAD model. It might affect service cost.

• General guidelines for the hourly rate.

  • 30 USD/h: Student's engineering projects in class, A small number of body interaction case, Static analysis case, linear analysis, single subject (no coupling): Mechanical, Heat Transfer, Mode Analysis, CFD, Vibrations, Transient dynamic analysis, metallic structure, etc.

  • 40 USD/h: Industrial application, highly non-linear analysis, multi-physics (coupling effect): Thermo-mechanical, electromagnetic, Fluid-structure interaction, hyper non-linear deformation (CEL/SPH), Optimization, Fatigue, Complex dynamics analysis, crash analysis, composite material, seismic analysis, etc.

  • 50 USD/h: Challenging research project, Sub-routine included analysis, 3rd party program implemented analysis, Development of the new design with validation, complex multi-bodies multi-contact with a multi-physics scheme.

• Who are the most expected clients?

  • Graduate students who need professional knowledge to complete their research projects or thesis subjects successfully under a tight time schedule.

  • Engineers in a small company who has a limited budget to receive very expensive engineering service.

  • Employees in a company who do not have an engineer for enhancement of their product's competitiveness.

  • Researchers who require support from other field and want to reduce the time and cost to get their goal efficiently.

• Generally, How will it take to complete a project?

  • It totally depends on the subject of the FEA problems and size of the model with complexity. Generally, it can be completed two weeks for most cases. If a project includes the code development or challenging part, it might take longer than a month. However, we are trying to do best to meet the client's requirement.

• How do we handle the intellectual properties?

  • The authority of the outcome of the project will be totally transferred to the clients. We will not share any information of the clients publically. We agree to our terms and conditions for the service to not keep any rights on the intellectual property generated during the project.
