Privacy Policy: Boost VPN

Boost VPN lets you browse through a server in another country. There is no account, no sign up, no email address and no payment, so there is nothing about you for us to keep.

What we never collect

• The sites you visit. No addresses, no page titles, no page contents, no search queries.

• Your name, email address, phone number or any other personal detail.

• Passwords, logins or anything you type on a website.

• Screen recordings, clicks or keystrokes on the pages you open.

We do not sell or share data with anyone for their own purposes, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your browsing traffic

While you are connected, your browser traffic goes through the server you picked, so websites see that location instead of yours. We do not read, log or store what you browse. Traffic to secure sites stays encrypted between your browser and the site, exactly as it is without the extension. Other apps on your computer are not affected.

Disconnect and your browser returns to its normal connection right away.

What stays on your device

Your settings, your list of sites to route or skip, and the details of your current session are kept in the browser on your own computer. Your list of sites never leaves your device. Removing the extension deletes all of it.

Anonymous statistics

If the Anonymous statistics setting is on, the extension reports how it is working: which country was chosen, whether connecting succeeded or failed, whether the service was reachable, and errors inside the extension. This is what lets us notice a broken location and fix it quickly.

These reports carry a random identifier created on your device. It is not linked to you, not shared with any website, and a new one is created if you reinstall. Like any internet service, our statistics provider sees the IP address a report comes from and works out an approximate country from it, which is how we know where the service is failing.

The reports never include the sites you visit or your list of routed sites, only how many entries that list has. We use PostHog to process this data, on European servers.

You can turn the setting off in the extension's settings at any time. Nothing is sent after that.

When you uninstall

Chrome opens a short feedback form. Answering it is optional, and it contains nothing about you unless you write it there yourself.

Children

The extension is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date above is updated.
