BuzzMe — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 08/28/2026 · Last updated:08/28/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ChaseLight Technology Limited ("BuzzMe," "we," "us") handles information in connection with the BuzzMe mobile application (the "Service"). BuzzMe is a local community app organized around neighborhoods and cities.
Information We Collect
Account information. The phone number you verify at sign-up, the first name you choose, an optional profile photo, an optional one-line description, and an account identifier we generate.
Date of birth. Your age is shown on your profile to other users.
Location. The neighborhood, city, or ZIP code you select, or the point you place on the map. If you grant location permission, we also use your device's location to place you on the map, estimate distances, and rank nearby results. We store the location associated with your account at neighborhood or city level; we do not retain a history of your precise coordinates. We also derive an approximate city from the IP address of your connection in order to suggest a starting point, which you are free to change.
Content you create. Posts, photos you attach to posts, marketplace listings, and direct messages you send through the Service.
Device and push information. A push notification token and basic device identifiers necessary to deliver notifications, plus app version and operating system version.
Connection and service logs. IP address and timestamps generated when your app connects to our servers. We use these to operate the Service, prevent abuse, and maintain security, and retain them only for a limited period.
Diagnostic information. If the app crashes, we may receive limited technical crash data.
Support communications. If you contact us or submit a report, we receive the information you choose to provide.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not retain a history of your precise location.
We do not ask for or store your street address.
We do not access, read, or upload your device contacts or address book.
We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not serve advertising.
We do not embed third-party analytics or tracking software development kits.
What Other Users Can See
Other users of the Service can see your first name, your age, your profile photo if you add one, your one-line description, the neighborhood or city you selected, an approximate distance between that place and their own, and any post or listing you publish. They cannot see your phone number, your date of birth, your street address, or your precise coordinates. You can control your visibility in the community feed and who is able to message you, in Settings.
Permissions
The app requests access to your camera, photo library, notifications, and location only when you use the corresponding feature. Every permission is optional. If you decline location, you can set your neighborhood manually and continue to use the Service normally. You can change or revoke any permission at any time in your device settings.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above only to create and maintain your account; show you the community you selected and the posts, listings, and events in it; deliver messages and notifications; screen images and text for objectionable content; operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service; and comply with legal obligations.
How We Disclose Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as follows: to service providers that host our infrastructure, deliver push notifications, send verification messages, screen images, and provide the AI features described in Section 6, acting on our instructions and bound by contract; in response to legal requests, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by applicable law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Retention and Deletion
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, in Settings. When you delete your account, we delete your account information, your posts, your listings, and your messages, except where we are required to retain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Records relating to a report of abuse may be retained longer for safety purposes. Connection and diagnostic logs are retained only for a limited period in the ordinary course of operations.
Security
All network traffic between the app and our servers runs over TLS. We restrict internal access to personal information to personnel who need it to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted.
Your U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion of that information, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information and we do not conduct targeted advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at apple@chaselightsoc.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response; where applicable law provides, you may also contact your state attorney general.

The categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (phone number, first name, account identifier, IP address, device identifiers), age and date of birth, approximate geolocation at city or neighborhood level, internet or network activity information (connection logs, diagnostic data), and the content you choose to publish or send. We collect these for the business purposes described in Section 5. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
