How We Use Information
Buzz Me Up uses app data only to provide and improve the app's wake-up and backup safety features, including:
- Scheduling and managing alarms
- Running wake-up challenges
- Sending emergency SMS messages to the user's selected trusted contact
- Opening the phone dialer for backup call support
- Saving user preferences locally
- Showing statistics inside the app
- Managing Premium access through Google Play Billing
Buzz Me Up does not sell user data.
Data Sharing
Buzz Me Up does not operate its own cloud server for personal user data and does not sell personal data to third parties.
Some data may be handled by third-party services only when required for app functionality:
- Google Play Billing may process subscription and purchase information for Premium features.
- The Android system SMS service is used to send emergency SMS messages from the user's device to the trusted contact selected by the user.
- The Android phone dialer may be opened with the trusted contact number if backup call is enabled.
Emergency SMS messages are sent only to the contact chosen by the user.
Data Storage and Security
Buzz Me Up stores app settings and preferences locally on the user's device using Android local storage mechanisms. The app does not operate an external cloud database for personal user data.
Users should protect their device with a secure lock screen because emergency contact information and app settings may be stored locally on the device.
Data Retention
Buzz Me Up stores app settings and preferences locally on the user's device only as long as needed for the app to function, or until the user deletes the data.
Locally stored data may include alarm settings, emergency contact information, selected language, wake-up challenge preferences, backup call settings, basic app statistics, and Premium status.
This locally stored data remains on the device until one of the following happens:
- The user changes or deletes the information inside the app.
- The user clears the app data from Android device settings.
- The user uninstalls the app.
Buzz Me Up does not store personal user data on external servers.
Purchase and subscription records may be retained by Google Play according to Google's own payment, tax, accounting, and legal requirements.
Data Deletion
Users can delete locally stored Buzz Me Up data at any time.
To delete local app data, users can:
1. Open Android Settings.
2. Go to Apps.
3. Select Buzz Me Up.
4. Open Storage.
5. Tap Clear data.
Users can also delete local data by uninstalling Buzz Me Up from their device.
Buzz Me Up does not currently create user accounts inside the app. Because the app does not create app accounts or store personal user data on Buzz Me Up servers, there is no separate account deletion process.
If users have questions about data deletion or privacy, they can contact us at:
madcop66@gmail.com
Children's Privacy
Buzz Me Up is not intended for children under 13. The app is designed for users who need a backup wake-up alarm and trusted contact fallback.
