The series was created by Tony Marchant, who met transgender people and their families during the writing process through trans charity Mermaids. Critical reception was very positive, with reviewers praising the actors and scenes that they found particularly emotive. Further praise was given to the subject matter of the story, though this also received some criticism. The miniseries was well received by social media users and several trans commentators, the first episode garnering 2.8 million overnight viewers. A scene in which Maxine attempts suicide was criticised by a gender clinic of the National Health Service.

ITV announced the miniseries in September 2017, along with the casting of Anna Friel of Maxine's mother Vicky.[9] Emmett J. Scanlan was cast as Stephen, Maxine's father. Scanlan read all three episodes' scripts in one sitting, finding it "so relevant and so well-written". He aimed to treat the subject with the "utmost honesty and care".[10] Though saying she had little knowledge of transgender people prior to the project, Friel hoped to change public perception of transgender children, comparing it to her 1990s role on the soap opera Brookside where her character kissed another woman. Friel's daughter was aged thirteen during Butterfly's production.[11]

The first episode received an overnight rating of 2.8 million viewers.[21] The three episodes overall garnered an average of 2.5 million viewers.[18] Following the broadcast, Green reported that Mermaids had seen a spike in new members.[22]

Butterfly received very positive critical reception. The Independent gave the series four out of five stars,[30] with the first episode receiving four stars in The Guardian and three in The Telegraph and The Times,[31][32][33] and the next two episodes receiving four and three stars in The Times, respectively.[34][35] It was widely praised for its subject matter and described as groundbreaking, emotional to watch and engaging. The writing was found to be nuanced.[36][37][38][39]

Dust off your coffee machine and prepare your warmest smile to meet your customers again in the second episode of the much loved coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator; Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly.

The monarch butterfly is in trouble. With its numbers in declinefor decades and its habitat rapidly disappearing, the U.S. Fish and WildlifeService is set to rule soon on whether it should be protected under theEndangered Species Act.

Back in the mists of time (January 2020), I was absolutely transfixed by a Japanese novel called Before The Coffee Gets Cold. It's about a small, cosy caf where customers can travel back in time by sitting in a very particular chair, for the length of time it takes for a cup of coffee to go cold. It's not long by any means, but it affords its cast of regulars the chance to get some closure on an issue that's often been plaguing them throughout their lives. It's heart-warming, soppy stuff, but very feel-good. That January was also about the same time I slurped up every last episode of Midnight Diner on Netflix, where a chill Japanese man known only as The Master serves up delicious looking dishes in a tiny, 10-person izakaya from midnight onwards. Put these two things together, and it's probably no surprise that I liked the original Coffee Talk more than most.

In this episode, we had the pleasure of talking to Mandi Johnson, the incredible florist of Butterfly Petals based out of Tempe, AZ. Mandi has such great insights on life and we loved having the opportunity to see how she runs her successful business. She talks about living life in her weirdness and beautiful quirks while struggling with anxiety. We are so excited to share her relatable perspective!

The subtitle comes from two new teas - hibiscus and blue pea (also known as butterfly pea) flower - which are required to make new drinks like Zobo from Nigeria, or Teh Jahe Rosella from Toge Productions' home base of Indonesia. Unlike the first game which was purely drink-mixing and dialogue, this time the player also receives objects left in the cafe and must give them to the appropriate person the next time they come in; the player only gets one chance to hand over an item while serving said person their drink, which is stupidly easy to forget, and with a couple of exceptions, has no real impact on major character arcs. Objects also disappear after a certain number of days. Failing to give Riona another character's contact information, for instance, is a non-negotiable part of the main narrative, so she'll get hold of it despite the player's forgetfulness

Not going to lie, I found this movie a little slow. Kevin and Kayla had the chemistry you would expect from a real life couple being onscreen together. The outfits were amazing, brought alot of humor. But the movie dragged in many parts. I did wish Emily and Mandy duked it out more. Lol. I was disappointed to not see more scenes of them out butterflying each other. Randy Thomas was a great dad. Lol. But yes. Movie was SLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWW. Lol

Serenity Forge and Toge Productions announced that Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly will debut this year on April 20th. The visual novel is a follow-up to the 2020 coffee brewing and heart-to-heart talking simulator, Coffee Talk. The second episode comes out on PC via Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Check the announcement trailer below for a glimpse of the gameplay.

The Butterfly Effect is a concept in mathematics called the Chaos Theory. The Chaos Theory is explained through the flapping of the wings of a butterfly. That something as simple as the flapping of the wings of a butterfly in a tropical area makes some minor my new change in the environment, which changes something else which changes something else which changes something else which changes the weather. And it hit me that what I had just experienced was the Butterfly Effect of Networking; That is that a simple conversation with a solopreneur who is a business coach, led me to meet somebody, which led me to meet somebody, which led me to meet somebody, which led me to meet somebody, which led me to spend a week on Necker Island and get to know Richard Branson.

It is the 9th episode of the series overall. It premiered on January 17, 2011. On April 5, 2011, "Voyage of the Butterflier XT" was first released on DVD as part of Wild Kratts: Creature Adventures.

In this episode, using a monarch butterfly-themed adventure vehicle called the Butterflier XT, the Kratt brothers follow a monarch butterfly on its several-thousand mile migration from upper North America to Mexico. However, the journey is complicated when fashion designer Donita Donata and her henchman, Dabio, attempt to capture as many monarch butterflies as they can in order to make butterfly barrettes.

The episode begins with a live action segment. In a field, the Kratt brothers find monarch butterflies and monarch caterpillars eating milkweed. Afterwards, they ask their "What if?" question and the show transitions into the cartoon segment.

Aviva and Chris find Martin in his Caterpillar Creature Power Suit while searching for monarch caterpillars in a field. Martin introduces a monarch caterpillar he named Maxilla. The Kratt brothers then mention the several-thousand mile journey of the monarch butterfly. Aviva is surprised, and is inspired to make a butterfly-themed adventure vehicle. Meanwhile, at Donita Donata's mansion, Dabio is presenting animals for Donita to inspire her to start another fashion collection. When Donita feels uninspired by them all, Dabio finds a monarch caterpillar on the pool deck, but Donita tosses it away, and it unknowingly lands in her hair.

Ten days have passed, and Maxilla emerges from her chrysalis and gets her wings ready. Aviva unveils the adventure vehicle: the Butterflier XT, and the Kratt brothers miniaturize, get inside, and lift off. Back at Donita's mansion, Donita still has not thought of anything for her fashion collection, that is, until she finds a butterfly in her hair. Inspired, she plans on making butterfly barrettes. 2351a5e196
