The Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe is currently based out of South Oroville and is locally owned and operated. They run numerous programs aiming to expand community resources for tribal members including education programs, childcare, gaming protection, career and leadership training, and environmental protection. The Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe strives to invoke curiosity for climate solutions as the “world has been changing right before our eyes.” Maidu people are born stewards of the land, water, plants, and all living things.
