OfficeBell is a communication application built for office teams, connecting an office administrator with the employees on their team for alerts, calls, messaging, and task tracking. This statement explains what information the app handles, why, and who can see it.
Depending on which features you use, OfficeBell handles:
Account information — name, phone number, email, and job designation, used to sign you in and identify you to your team.
Presence and activity status — online/offline and available/busy status, so an admin can see who is reachable right now.
Messages — direct messages and group chat content within your team. Messages are automatically deleted 7 days after they are sent; we do not keep a longer copy for our own purposes.
Bell and call activity — the fact that a bell was rung or a call was made/missed, so it can be shown to the relevant admin or employee. A record of a missed bell/call is kept for 3 days and then automatically removed.
Tasks — tasks an admin assigns to an employee, and their status. Completed tasks move to an Archive and are kept for up to 1 year, or deleted sooner if the admin removes them manually.
Location — see the dedicated section below.
Subscription/plan status — see Subscriptions & Payments below.
Diagnostic data — basic crash reports and non-identifying outcome counts (for example, whether a call connected), used only to find and fix reliability problems. These do not include message content, contacts, or location.
OfficeBell does not collect location data for its own use, and never sells, rents, or shares it with third parties. Location exists in the app for one purpose only: so an employee's own office admin can see roughly where that employee is, for the ordinary reasons a workplace already expects that of a field or on-duty employee. It is a mutual arrangement understood between the office admin and the employee as part of that working relationship — not something OfficeBell observes, analyzes, or uses itself.
Practically: location is only sampled while the app holds location permission you granted, at most every 15 minutes, or when your admin requests a one-time refresh. It is visible only to the admin(s) of the team(s) you are active on — never to OfficeBell staff, other employees, or any outside party. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; the app continues to work, with bell/call/messaging features unaffected.
OfficeBell shows banner ads served by Google AdMob in some parts of the app — always in the employee interface, and in the admin interface only on the free or expired plan (never during the trial, and never once an admin is on a paid plan). AdMob is a third-party ad service; it may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads, under Google's own privacy and advertising policies. OfficeBell does not give AdMob or any other advertiser your messages, tasks, location, contacts, or any other in-app content — ad serving relies only on standard AdMob SDK signals, not on your data inside the app.
Paid plans are purchased through Google Play Billing. OfficeBell never sees or stores your card number or other payment details — Google processes the payment and shares back only a purchase confirmation, which we verify to unlock the plan's features. We store the resulting plan status (for example, which plan you're on and until when) so the app can enforce your team and member limits correctly.
The app may request Notifications, Microphone, Location, Display over Other Apps, and Bluetooth permissions, each used solely to provide the matching feature (call alerts, voice calls, admin location visibility, full-screen incoming-call/bell alerts, and audio routing, respectively). You can manage or revoke any permission at any time in your device settings; doing so may limit the related feature but will not block the rest of the app.
OfficeBell does not sell or rent your personal information. Within the app, your information is visible only to your own team — your office admin, and (for presence/team-roster purposes) your teammates — as needed to provide the app's features. The only outside party involved is Google, through AdMob (advertising, as described above), Google Play Billing (payments), and Firebase (the infrastructure that runs the app's authentication, database, notifications, and crash reporting).
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect your information from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. While we strive to maintain a secure environment, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security.
OfficeBell is a workplace/business tool and is not directed at, or intended for, children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or app functionality. Continued use of OfficeBell after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Statement.
If you have questions about this Privacy Statement, please contact your organization or office administrator or simple feedback form inside the application.
