Business Khata is designed to help small business owners, shopkeepers, freelancers, and individuals manage daily cash registers, customer due ledgers, inventory stock, POS invoices, Store Stock, Product add, Product Auto OR code create, Product Scan for surchlist and personal/family expense records with secure Firebase Cloud Synchronization and Offline-First capability.

1. Overview of the
Business Khata is a financial, cashbook, and inventory management application that allows users to:
- Create a secure user account and synchronize business financial ledgers across multiple devices.
- Track daily cash inflows, sales, expenses, and cash adjustments (ক্যাশ মেমো ও হিসাব)।
- Manage customer credit, dues, and transaction ledgers with nested sub-collections (বাকি খাতা)।
- Manage product inventory, low stock alerts, and category records (স্টক ও ইনভেন্টরি)।
- Generate and print 80mm POS Thermal Cash Memos and Barcode Stickers.
- Scan product QR Codes and Barcodes using the device camera.
- Attach photo proofs (receipts, payment slips, product images) to transaction entries.
- Generate and share detailed PDF reports for accounting.
2. Information Collected and Its Purpose
To provide account authentication, multi-device cloud backup, and business ledger synchronization, the application collects the following information:
2.1 Personal & Authentication Data:
- Email Address and Display Name: Collected when you register or log in using Firebase Authentication to create a unique user profile.
- User ID (UID): Generated by Firebase Authentication to isolate and secure your database records.
2.2 Business & Financial Ledger Data:
- Ledger Entries: Cash incomes, sales records, business expenses, and cash adjustments entered by you.
- Customer Ledger Records: Customer names, phone numbers, due balances, and transaction notes.
- Product Inventory Data: Product names, barcodes, purchase prices, selling prices, and stock quantities.
- Sync Purpose: All financial records are stored locally on your device and synchronized to encrypted Firebase Cloud Firestore under your unique User ID so you never lose your business records during app reinstalls or device changes.
2.3 Media & Attachment Data:
- Photos: Images captured via camera or selected from gallery (payment receipts, product images, customer profile photos) are processed, compressed, and synchronized securely to your cloud profile.
3. Permissions Requested and Their Purpose
Contacts Permission (READ_CONTACTS):
- Purpose: Optional feature allowing users to auto-fill a customer's Name and Phone Number from their phonebook.
- Privacy Guarantee: We DO NOT upload or share your phonebook contact list with any external server.
Camera Permission (CAMERA):
- Purpose: Used exclusively when scanning product Barcodes/QR Codes or capturing payment receipt/product photos.
- Privacy Guarantee: Camera access is triggered only upon explicit user action.
Storage & File Access (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, MEDIA_LOCATION):
- Purpose: Used to save generated PDF POS Invoices, Sales Reports, Barcode Stickers, and cached images.
Network Access & Device Identifiers (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, AD_ID):
- Purpose: Required for Firebase Cloud Data Synchronization, loading advertisements (Google AdMob), and tracking app stability/crashes.
4. Cloud Storage, Synchronization, and Security
- Offline-First & Realtime Cloud Sync: Financial records and product inventory are stored locally in an encrypted SQLite database on your device and automatically synchronized to Firebase Cloud Firestore when connected to the internet.
- Data Encryption: All cloud transmissions are encrypted in transit using industry-standard SSL/TLS protocols.
- Access Control: Your cloud database is strictly isolated under your Firebase User UID, ensuring no other user can view or access your financial records.
5. Third-Party Advertising and Analytics SDKs
The application integrates trusted third-party SDKs to display advertisements and monitor app performance:

6. Personal Data Control & Account Deletion
- Account & Data Deletion Rights: You have full control over your data. You may delete individual transactions, customers, or products directly within the app, which immediately purges them from both local storage and Firebase Cloud Firestore.
- Account Termination: To completely delete your account and all associated cloud ledger records, you can submit a deletion request as outlined in Section 12.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our application is intended for adult business owners, shopkeepers, and general users managing business finances. It is not directed to children under 13 years of age.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features, cloud enhancements, or regulatory requirements. Changes take effect immediately upon publishing.
