Burley School Tours

Thank you for your interest in Burley School!

The intended purpose of the Burley School tour is to provide prospective parents/guardians information about the school. Tours last approximately 60 to 90 minutes and visit multiple classrooms within the school. Due to the length of the tour, we recommend only adults attend.

Burley offers two tours:

  • Kindergarten through 8th Grade Tour: visits the Kindergarten classrooms and a sampling of other classrooms throughout the building.
  • Pre-K through 8th Grade Tour: visits Tuition Based Pre-K, Kindergarten and a sampling of other classrooms throughout the building.

On the Day of Your Tour:

Parking is available on neighborhood streets, on Ashland at a pay box, or in the metered lot east of Ashland on Barry. Please do not park in the lot on the northwest corner of Ashland and Barry or in the alley parking lot along the east side of the school. You may be booted or towed from either of these lots.

Upon arrival, enter the building at the main entrance along Barry Avenue (our east entrance). A tour guide will greet you at the door.

Tour spots are limited. If you cannot attend or need to choose a different date, please change your reservation so another parent may attend. To do so, please use the buttons below to reschedule.

Tours begin promptly at 8:30am. Latecomers may be asked to reschedule.

Interested in Burley Pre-K?

Burley has one full-day tuition-based pre-k program that runs from 8:15am to 3:15pm with wraparound care from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Applications for this program will be accepted once CPS has posted the 2019-2020 tuition-based pre-k application. Please check back for updates.
