Dr. Burcu Günay

I am an astrochemist with a background in BSc in chemistry, MSc in astronomy and PhD in astrophysics. My current studies focus on comprehending the physical and chemical evolution of dust and ice grains across diverse environments in the ISM.  I am working to map the distribution of major components in dust and ice grains over the wide fields in the ISM.

My Research Topics

Interstellar medium, interstellar dust and ice, interstellar chemical abundances in the solid phase of ISM.

 -----

Observational Astronomy: Spectroscopic and photometric observations of the interstellar dust and ice.

Laboratory Astrophysics: Spectral analysis of interstellar dust and ice analogues.

Computational Chemistry: Computational spectra of interstellar molecules.
