Transformation of Sentences

1. Affirmative to negative-

1. She was wise.

Ans- She is not foolish.

2. That is impossible.

Ans- That is not possible.

3. Zoya's voice is harsh.

Ans- Zoya's voice is not sweet.

4. This student is dull.

Ans- This student is not intelligent.

5. We are innocent.

Ans- We are not guilty.

6. She is a bad blonde.

Ans- She is not a good blonde.

7. We love you.

Ans- We don't hate you.

8. She dislikes you.

Ans- She doesn't like you.

9. You distrust him.

Ans- You don't trust him.

10. We won all the matches.

Ans- We didn't lose any match.

11. I helped her.

Ans- I didn't cheat her.

12. You disliked me.

Ans- You didn't like me.

2. Using double negatives:-

Sentence में दो negative अर्थ रखने वाले शब्दो का use करके भी affirmative to negative एवं negative to affirmative में transform किया जा सकता है।

Affirmative to negative

1. I have a car.

Ans- I am not without a car.

2. I love her.

Ans- I am not without love for her.

3. You have money.

Ans- You are not without money.

4. For gains one has to take pains.

Ans- No gains without pains.

5. My maternal aunt had two daughters.

Ans- My maternal aunt was not without two daughters.

3. To fail का use करने या हटाने से भी transformation किया जाता है।

Affirmative to negative

1. He played chess.

Ans- He didn't fail to play chess.

2. I saw your boy-friend.

Ans- I didn't. Fail to see your boy-friend.

3. Consult the doctor.

Ans- Do not fail to consult the doctor.

4. He delivered his speech.

Ans- He didn't fail to deliver his speech.

5. I abused that damn-fool.

Ans- I didn't fail to abuse that damn-fool.

4. जब affirmative sentence में only/ alone का use हो तो इन्हें negative sentence में transform करने के लिए none but का use किया जाता है।

1. Only a mad can do like this.

Ans- None but a mad can do like this.

2. Only the poor can beg like this.

Ans- None but the poor can beg like this.

3. Only a fool can say like this.

Ans- None but a fool can say like this.

4. Only you were present there.

Ans- None but you were present there.

5. The brave alone deserves the award.

Ans- None but the brave deserves the award.
