About Me

Assalamualaikum. I am Bulbul Ahmed, from Meherpur, Bangladesh. I earned both my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degrees in Chemistry from Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh, where I conducted thesis-based research specializing in Physical Chemistry and developed a strong foundation in physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry. 

I previously served as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Gono Bishwabidyalay, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh where I gained experience in undergraduate teaching, laboratory instruction, academic mentoring, and student development. This experience further strengthened my passion for teaching and my commitment to fostering students’ scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and research skills.

My research interests primarily focus on surfactant chemistry, particularly the physicochemical interactions of drugs, dyes, polymers, and biomolecules with surfactants and self-assembled systems. I am interested in understanding molecular interactions, aggregation behavior, and the factors governing complex chemical and biological systems. I also have a strong interest in medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, and pharmaceutical research.

I am actively engaged in scientific research and have contributed to peer-reviewed international scientific publications. My long-term goal is to develop an independent and impactful research program in drug discovery, with an emphasis on developing affordable and effective therapeutic solutions for global health challenges.
