What do I have to do to pass the class?
This is not a traditional class, and we do not offer credit. There are no problem sets or exams.
The primary deliverables for people on project teams are two design reviews and a final presentation, along with any supporting documentation generated along the way. If participants generate any other ideas that may be turned into future projects, those may be submitted under Future Proposals.
I hear this class is run in a hackathon style. How do I win?
The class is run in a hackathon style in the sense that it is a relatively short period of time where teams are focused on a particular project, with help from experienced mentors. This is not a competition and there are no prizes.
Because this is neither a competition nor a traditional class, project mentors are free to be as involved in the projects as they would like to be.
Does my team have to make a new product or invention?
No. While new products or inventions are a potential outcome of the class, they are not a requirement.
Why is this on a Google site and not an MIT site?
We didn't do the paperwork to associate it with an mit.edu address yet.
