Committee Members

Gerry Wilson - President

Gerry Wilson is nothing short of a legend of Bucks Lacrosse. Having played lacrosse for Bucks for many years, Gerry began coaching at a local school and it was here that he introduced many of our current players to the game.

His record for Bucks is remarkable, and he can often be seen cheering the team on from the sidelines.

Dominic Newlyn - Captain & Social Secretary

Having first picked up a lacrosse stick under the coaching of current President Gerry, Dominic has been involved with Bucks Lacrosse from primary school.

As Secretary of Leeds University Lacrosse, Dominic improved his game at university whilst helping the club to set up a second team. He took the reins back in 2017 and hasn't looked back. A local boy, he can often be found on the pitch or behind the bar!

George Faram - Chairman

Another primary school recruit, George has returned to the club he loves a few years ago. His commitment to improving the club's facilities and providing superb post-match catering is commendable, although in truth he is the only one who can turn the oven on...

George is a dominant long pole, but has been known to play every single position available, always with a smile on his face.

Peter Bowyer - Secretary & VC

As well as providing the greatest half-time oranges, Peter has also taken on the roles of Secretary and Vice Captain. Peter grabbed the coveted Most Improved Player award in 2013 and has never looked back.

Peter joined us in 2012, playing his university lacrosse at Chicester where he was a founding member and highly respected member of the committee. Peter is a key member of the Bucks midfield, but has been known to pick up a long pole to help out.

David Williams - Lacrosse Genius

As the longest serving member of the existing squad, Dave has a long and successful history with the club, having originally joined in 1974. Dave progressed 1st team 1976, where he became club Captain for 11 years, retired 1996, resurrection 2009. L2 ref.

Dave is a key steer in the running of the club, providing coaching, recruiting players and marshalling the attack. He will often be found feeding passes from X or recovering at a Pilates class.

Shaun Wilson - Committee Member

Shaun joined us in 2012 having started his lacrosse career in 2006 for Warwick University. Shaun has brought his northern aggression and stick skills to Bucks, establishing himself as key member of our defence.

Shaun's no nonsense approach to club affairs has enabled us to get a lot done over the last couple of years and remains a valued member of our committee.

Want to join?

If you have great ideas or feel you can contribute to the success of Bucks Lacrosse....... join our committee!

We are always looking for new members to help out and improve our club - it is a small commitment of only a couple of hours a month, and enables you to shape the future of your club.
