Lota has been broadcasting a radio show, sharing her daily life and thoughts in hopes of connecting with anyone else who might be out there. Rachel, living alone in her family's former laboratory, stumbles upon Lota's broadcast and realizes she isn't alone. Determined to find Lota, Rachel embarks on a perilous journey across a desolate, monster-infested landscape. The novel explores themes of loneliness, survival, and the blossoming of a deep connection between the two women.
