In Thumbs, the story follows Charlie “Thumbs” Fellows, a poor kid raised on a violent video game funded by a mysterious tech giant, the Mother Board, which recruits children into its digital army. When Charlie is critically injured in battle, he awakens years later to a society where the government has crushed rebellion and outlawed the very technology that shaped him. With his childhood friend Black and the ever-present influence of his AI caretaker Mom, Charlie must navigate a fractured, authoritarian America—where loyalty, freedom, and humanity blur in the face of control. As enemies close in and the past refuses to stay buried, Charlie races to decide whether he’ll accept the world as it is—or fight to rebuild it.
