Carmilla is a cult-hit Canadian web series based on the 1872 gothic novella Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu. Set in the modern-day fictional Silas University, the story follows Laura Hollis, a first-year journalism student who begins investigating the mysterious disappearance of her roommate. As she digs deeper, Laura discovers a secret underworld of vampires, ancient conspiracies, and supernatural threats hiding within the school. Told in a single-frame vlog-style the episodes come from Laura's dorm room.
