Set in 1960s Oklahoma, the story follows Ponyboy Curtis, a teenager caught in the tension between two rival groups: the working-class Greasers and the wealthier Socs. When violence erupts after a confrontation, Ponyboy and his friends must face questions of loyalty, survival, and what it truly means to “stay gold” in a divided world.

The film is adapted from S. E. Hinton’s 1967 novel The Outsiders. Francis Ford Coppola directed the movie, staying very faithful to the novel’s plot and themes of class conflict, brotherhood, and identity.
