The Lovely Bones follows Susie Salmon, a teenage girl who is murdered by a neighbor. After her death, Susie observes her family and friends from a liminal afterlife, struggling with grief, guilt, and the desire for justice. As her family grapples with her disappearance, Susie must come to terms with her own death and the choices she left behind, ultimately seeking closure and peace.
