Crimes of the Heart is a dark comedy-drama set in a small Mississippi town, following the eccentric Magrath sisters—Lenny, Meg, and Babe—as they reunite after Babe shoots her abusive husband. Over the course of their time together, old resentments, hidden desires, and family secrets resurface, blending humor with heartbreak as the sisters confront their troubled past and uncertain futures. 

This film is adapted from Beth Henley’s Pulitzer Prize–winning play of the same name. The film captures the messy bonds of sisterhood with warmth and wit.
