As a long-standing resident of Columbia County, I have spent most of my life as a public servant. I am running for Columbia County Commission so that I can work with you to keep our community safe, strong and thriving.
A graduate of Westside High School and Augusta State University, I built a distinguished career in law enforcement. I began my career as a Reserve Deputy for Columbia County Sheriff’s Office while in college. After graduation, I served the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. My career in law enforcement continued on with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Law Enforcement Division where I served as a Game Warden assigned to Columbia County. During my tenure, I served as an instructor at the state and local police academies, a member of the Counter Terrorism Task Force, Strike Team Leader on natural disaster deployments and a member of the Water Safety Counsel for Clarks Hill Lake. I retired as the Supervisor over Richmond, Burke, Jefferson, Glascock and Washington Counties.
With decades of public safety leadership experience, I understand what it takes to protect families and preserve the quality of life that makes Columbia County special.
In addition to my law enforcement career, I am a local Realtor who works closely with families and businesses. I know firsthand how responsible growth, safe roadways, strong infrastructure and a healthy local economy impact homeowners and small business owners alike.
I am a devoted man of Christian faith and family. My wife Ashley and I are proud parents to our son Kyler and daughter-in-law Crystal and loving grandparents to Weston.
I am ready to bring experienced leadership, conservative values and proven service to the Columbia County Commission. I will work diligently for our shared interest & I am dedicated to ensuring our community’s voice is heard in decisions made.
As a County Commissioner, I will:
· Maintain strong public safety
· Support and encourage local businesses
· Improve roads and infrastructure responsibly
· Keep taxes fair and accountable
· Reinvest and improve our parks
· Protect the conservative values that define Columbia County
