The linked troop concept has separate troops for the boys and girls. They have separate leadership structures (patrol leaders and other scout positions), plan separate outings, and meet at different times. They may, if the scouts choose, plan a joint outing, but the boys' and girls' troops will still have separated camp sites. There are also ceremonial functions that are performed in common so that all of the scouts can recognize the advancements of the others.
There is a single adult committee, providing financial management, assistance with booking reservations, and interacting with the district and national BSA organizations.
