   Most of the early Western art was based on the Bible, and realistic techniques were used to express the entire picture. These paintings all conveyed the ideas of "truth, goodness, and beauty". Another part of the content was portraits painted to serve the upper class.

       早期西方美术多以《圣经》为题材，以写实手法表现整个画面，这些绘画无不传达着“真、善、美”的思想，另一部分内容是为上流社会服务而画的肖像画。
