Blood on the Clocktower is a game of social deduction where Good tries to sniff out Evil while Evil tries to snuff out Good.
Werewolf/Mafia wishes. Blood on the Clocktower is fairer with way more (and way more interesting) powers. Everyone gets an ability, nobody's entirely eliminated from the game, and wild bluffing is encouraged. Good players hunt the Demon; Evil players sow chaos; the Storyteller keeps the gears turning.
Full Session: 7:30PM - 10:30PM ET (please be on time and plan to stay)
Games: We'll likely fit in 2-3. Each should probably last approx. 45-75 minutes.
Breaks: 5-minute stretch/snack reset between games. Need the restroom mid-game? No problem, just send me a DM so I know you're away.
Dress as a Blood on the Clocktower character (you can find them all here)! Or don't. But the best costume and/or costume piece will win a special ability for a game or two!
Webcams strongly encouraged. Body language matters in a social deduction game!
Playing from the same house? Sit in separate rooms & use noise-canceling headphones if possible so you can't overhear one another.
Stay present. No side-chatting outside the app.
Be sneaky, not salty. We're all here to talk, scheme, and have a good time.
Technical issue? Let the Storyteller (Bryan) know right away and we'll get it sorted or figure something out.
Our setup is balanced for an exact number of players. If life explodes, text Bryan ASAP so we can find a replacement and avoid last-minute chaos!

Edit Settings
Log in using the credentials you created
Click Settings
Review the settings on the General tab
There's probably not much you'll want to change here, but there is a colorblind mode, you can increase the size of some things, etc.
Update the settings on the User tab (note: you do not need to click Edit Account--that's for updating the account you created itself)
Click on your display name and change it if applicable
Add your preferred pronouns
Optionally, select or upload an avatar (this is the picture that will be displayed when your webcam is hidden, such as during night phases of the game)
Review the settings on the Chat tab
IMPORTANT: Click "Run the Setup" and make sure everything checks out. Make sure you have the correct video device (camera) and audio device (microphone) selected.
It is recommend that you leave all of the other settings alone. If you have problems once we get started, you can adjust them accordingly at that time.
Skip the Game, Shortcuts, and Advanced tabs
If you'd like to do a quick tech check at any point between now and the game night, just let Bryan know.
😝 PSST! YOU CAN STOP READING HERE IF YOU WANT! 😝
You DO NOT need to know any of the following. You will be told everything you NEED to know on the night we play. That being said, some people more than others like to know what they're getting into, be prepared, etc. In that spirit, below are some resources you can peruse between now and then if you so choose.
(Storyteller note: Knowing all of you, I can guarantee that most of you will not look at any of this, so do not feel like you're going to be behind the curve if you don't. 😂 I'm the only one who needs to know all of this stuff, never fear.)
Rules Explanation - These are the basic introductory rules for the game. We'll cover these but if you're going to read any of the following, it's good to read these rules first as a baseline.
Trouble Brewing (the script we'll start with)
Sects & Violets (the script we'll play most of the night)
Note: These instructions are for the in-person game but the online game is virtually the same, just with slightly different game mechanics for obvious reasons
