This foundation is named after Brycen Mabe, who went to Heaven on June 10th, 2024.
Brycen was born on July 29, 2006, in Pinehurst. He was a rising senior at Pinecrest High School, lived for football, and had an immense amount of love for his family, friends, and God. He was an aspiring professional football player and was a starter and defensive end on the varsity football team, where he proudly wore the #91. Brycen’s life motto was, “Pain is Temporary; Jesus is Forever.” He was saved on November 4, 2016, and was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church in West End.
The purpose of this foundation is to allow Byrcen's legacy to shine through. The foundation will provide one scholarship every year to a Pinecrest High School varsity senior football player.
Within this foundation, a bereaved parent's fund was also created. This fund is for bereaved parents of children under the age of 21. This was created to provide them with items such as a memory blanket to help with the healing and coping process.
