Welcome to my website! I am a PhD Economist with the Social, Economic, and Housing Statistics Division (SEHSD), Labor Force Statistics Branch of the U.S. Census Bureau.
I am a labor force subject matter expert and am responsible for more than 1,200 variables as the Labor Force Team Lead for the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP). I also serve as SEHSD's point of contact for Stata-related issues and testing. I have a strong institutional knownledge of many federal data products and experience programming in Stata, SAS, SQL, Python, and R.
I currently am conducting a large-scale overhaul of SIPP's labor force content to better capture nonstandard work arrangements, particularly for gig and platform workers. Additionally, I design allocation specifications for the Current Population Survey Unbanked Supplement.
Before joining Census, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Oakland University from 2021-2022. Ihold a PhD in Economics from Michigan State University and BS degrees in Economics, Mathematics, and Political Science from Syracuse University.
